Brineworks secures Salesforce-backed carbon removal purchase through Milkywire
Brineworks has secured a pre-purchase of 500 tons of durable carbon removal through Milkywire, backed by Salesforce, supporting the development of its DAC technology.
The purchase reflects industry confidence that Direct Air Capture can achieve the cost reductions needed for large-scale deployment, while reinforcing the potential of electrochemical DAC with green hydrogen co-production to support both carbon removal and e-fuels at scale.
Brineworks is one of eight suppliers selected in Milkywire’s latest Salesforce-backed purchasing round, designed to advance promising carbon removal technologies. The purchases form part of Salesforce’s commitment to contract $100M in durable carbon removal by 2030.
The pre-purchase provides early buyer support to advance deployment and generate operational learnings for future scale-ups.
