Brineworks secures a €557k grant from Kansen voor West
Brineworks was awarded €557k in grant funding from Kansen voor West to advance its technology readiness level.

Brineworks was awarded a €557k grant for a €1.4m project to develop and operate a pilot system targeting the removal of 20 tCO₂ per year while co-producing green H₂, advancing its technology from TRL 5 to TRL 6–7. The project is part of the Kansen voor West III program, which supports the valorization of innovations essential to the societal transition toward a fully circular and climate-neutral economy. This objective closely aligns with Brineworks’ mission to support the energy transition by enabling the production of synthetic fuels from captured CO₂ and green H₂.
This grant will strengthen Brineworks’ technology by validating its performance in a relevant operational environment and will contribute to the European Union’s objective of achieving a 55% reduction in CO₂ emissions by 2030. We are grateful for KvW’s support with co-funding from the EU!
