Brineworks Raises €5M Seed to Scale Direct Air Capture
Brineworks closed a €5 million seed round led by SeaX Ventures to accelerate ultra low-cost Direct Air Capture (DAC) powered by our breakthrough electrolyzer.

Brineworks officially announced it had raised a €5 million seed round led by SeaX Ventures, with participation from Pale blue dot, First Momentum Ventures, AiiM Partners, Energie 360°, Satgana and Katapult.
Brineworks’ core innovation is a patented electrolyser designed for flexible, renewables-driven operation that captures CO₂ while co-producing hydrogen. Together, these outputs enable carbon removal, e-Fuels, and other utilisation pathways. The new funding will accelerate commercialisation of Brineworks’ ultra-low-cost Direct Air Capture (DAC), with commercial readiness targeted by the end of 2026.
This milestone brings Brineworks a step closer to scaling ultra-low-cost DAC and delivering durable climate impact.
